SpecialtyTiresUSA.com is the brandest newest tire store online, selling all sorts of tires, wheels, and accessories for specialty vehicles; there’s ATV tires, golf cart tires, lawnmower tires, wheelbarrow wheels… lots and lots and lots of tires. The website is built on the open source Magento Commerce software, which gave us a great foundation and the ability to simplify the typically complicated process of finding the right kind of tire.

I’ve led this project ever since the fabulous folks at S&S Tire Co. in Peoria, AZ approached me with an itch to go global, and I’m proud to call it my big cute baby! It’s still got a lot of growing to do, but I believe the brand has huge potential, and I hope it works well enough so that I can hold the reins for years to come.

A huge thanks to my beloved code-warrior Jonas Franke, without whom none of this wonderous magic could have happened! Also, a mighty thanks to Anthony Mineo for the naming & SEO help, and to Devon Hong for his awesome graphic design help! However, the biggest thanks of all has to go to my girlfriend Kelley, for not getting too mad at me for all the long hours.

Now, I know what you’re all thinking… “Now he’s just going to try to get us to buy some tires.” And I can’t believe that you would think such a thing, because you’re absolutely right! There is no better time than Christmas to shower your loved ones with all the specialty tires they need! Turf tires, ribbed tires, knobby tires, sawtooth tires, all kinds of tires! Jack up your golf cart with a lift kit and slap some big custom assembled wheels on there so your sweetie can roll right through those snow drifts! And don’t forget those chrome lug nuts - they’re a great stocking stuffer.

So now I’d like to take this moment to admit; I know pretty much next to nothing about tires. But with SpecialtyTiresUSA.com, you don’t have to know anything to find what you need!

Hoo-hoo, time for a break.

Gloucester, Massachusetts is a strikingly beautiful seaside… deeply affected by humanity’s incredible ability to shit where it eats. When I was a kid I would spend hours playing in the tide pools here, poking star fish and sea annenamies, digging wherever the sand bubbled for clams, and chasing crabs as they scuttled about. Now it’s 15 years later, and everywhere is completely lifeless. Oh, except for brown, goopy algae, and a proliferation of humans in motorboats. But, hey; look! It’s still beautiful… right?

We recently squashed a Norse Warrior uprising at the local Nordic skiing fundraiser… it was found that they were easily pacified with cookies and apple juice.

The Teton Nordic Club is a nonprofit organization that provides after-school nordic skiing programs for kids…

This year, if the board of directors gets their $#*% together, we’re mixing it up a little with some Norse Mythology rebranding, from visual identity to general rediculously-coolness, like the FIERCE FACE CONTEST, which resulted in an awesomely mean-looking little warrior getting a prize package and a picture in the local newspaper.

Volunteer work is fun, as long as you can play with it and have fun!

Akwissasne, as it’s called, is a small Great Camp that was built by my great-grandfather in the 1920s. He used it as an escape from the city where he and his friends could hunt, fish, and relax. My mom grew up there, and when I came about we’d drive across the country for a couple weeks of lakeside vacation each summer.

I’ve had some fun working on propaganda. I’ll get the website done sooner or later; for now check out our brochure at www.akwissasne.com/Brochure-Web.pdf if you’re interested!

Holy North Dakotan cow, do they make incredible muffins! We had a chocolate banana muffin, a blackberry nectarine muffin, and a whopping glass of milk. The muffins were perfect - totally nutritious tasting, with just enough sweetness, and big, gooey balls of delicious fruit on the inside. An excellent breakfast, and a great atmosphere to chill out, chat, and read a newspaper. Just like any other review you’ll read, they’re highly recommended!!!

It was much fun; Times Square, Broadway, the Empire State building, Central Park, Museum of Modern Art, Wall Street… we just about dun did it all. I was also given the chance to peek into the advertising agencies The Ito Partnership and Anomaly - a couple of cool, creative places. Highlights were Monty Python’s Spamalot on Broadway and an incredible orchestra/film show in Prospect Park, Philip Glass - Powaqqatsi.
